A Few Photos from Ireland photo
credit: Jim Marquez |
This is The Burren. It's not your typical Irish vista. This is ancient Ireland, located in County Clare, a geological wonder of limestone pavements protruding through the earth's surface, looking for all the world like something from outer space. Visitors to this area are awestruck as they ramble around. Notice the dark sky. There's not much shelter from the rain. |
![]() City of Cork |
A rainy day in the City of Cork, which is located in the south of Ireland. There's nonstop traffic through the city's narrow, winding streets. Cork is a very large, sprawling city. According to its website, the annual rainfall statistic is 283,116 mm's per year. That sounds like an awful lot to me. On the other hand, they also advertise 3.43 hours of sunshine per day. I think I can see a little patch of blue sky in this very photo. |
Here's an inviting-looking bar in Dublin. |

Here's another popular attraction in County Clare, the stunning vistas from the Cliffs of Moher. The waves crash against the rocks below the steep cliffs and rocky ledges. Visitors and photographers are delighted by the way the sunlight illuminates the rock formations. It's a spectacular and romantic Irish site. |
