I've just beaten my own record.
Five showers - in five days.
Might not seem like such an accomplishment
to someone reading this,
but if he or she had any idea
what getting through this winter was like for me,
I think he or she - might understand.
At one point, three weeks had passed -
between showers.

And what a heavy winter it was!
I was in the throes of my depression,
I wasn't answering the phone or -
answering the door.
I left only to restock on the necessities.
The only thing I actually did was feed -
cats.

Five for five.

It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow and warm.
Imagine! Three weeks between showers.
That's just what happens when you're depressed,
it's snowing, and all the windows -
are closed.
