![]() The Flag of Spain The Lion Investigations continue... by The Phantom |
|
|
We just had an email from Jakub, regarding one of our earlier investigations -- the one concerning the inscription on the lion statue in San Marcos Square in Venice. Here's what he says: I was searching through the Internet for a picture of the Lion of St. Marcos and found your lion investigations page. I noticed your doubts about the inscription the Lion is presenting to St. Marcos. The proper form is: PAX TIBI MARCE EVANGELISTA MEUS which means "Peace to you, Marcos, my evangelist." Hmm... Meanwhile we're still collecting photos from around the world. Have you noticed that most of them are sitting, some are sleeping, but others are reading or holding a ball with their foot. Cats have always been known to like balls! |
